Steven Andrew Slaughter, age 30 of Dardanelle, Arkansas, passed away on September 4, 2026, at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. He was born September 28, 1995 in Russellville, Arkansas, to Richard Slaughter and Henrietta Hilliard.

Steven worked as a self-employed mechanic and had a natural love for anything with an engine. He especially enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles and had a passion for anything that would go fast. When he wasn't working on something mechanical, Steven enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Hilliard; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and two brothers, William Henry Slaughter and Jonathan Gabriel Slaughter.

Steven is survived by his father, Richard Slaughter (Kathryn) of Dardanelle; brother, Richard D. Slaughter of Seattle, Washington; two stepbrothers, Nicolas Vanderstoep (Brittany) of Dardanelle, Jacob Vanderstoep (Angel) of Dardanelle, and stepsister, Rebecca Vanderstoep (Abreonna) of Dardanelle. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

A Family held Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lake Hills Church in Russelllville. Brother Tony Reynolds will be officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Gist, Mike Baker, James Hilliard, Larry Emberson, and DD Sims.
