Obituary

Steven Lee Hasty age 66 passed to his eternal rest, January 20, 2023, at his home in Ola,
Arkansas.

He was born June 27, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, to his parents: James Henry
Hasty, Jr. and Pasty Joyce Wheeler-Hasty.

He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Hasty of Ola; his spouse Carrie Lacy of Ola; three children: son Chase Hasty (& Tosha) of Casa, daughter Heidi Stillwell (& Dusty) of Springdale, and daughter Maelee Hasty; six grandchildren: Tristin, Jayden, Braxton, Danity, Connor, Isaac; one brother, Jim Hasty (& Myong) of Russellville; one sister, Susan Ridenour (& Don) of Bellville; five adult nieces and nephews (Angela Orr, Jessica Gibson, Elizabeth James, Joshua Hasty, Nathan Ridenour); and numerous cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Aside from his family, whom he loved dearly, Steve loved everything outdoors, especially
fishing and hunting. He was a good mechanic and very much enjoyed tinkering with cars,
trucks, tractors, motorcycles, etc. whether it be his own or a friend that just needed help.
He loved to raise a garden and collect arrowheads. Steve was innovative: he once made a
simple device to crack open a perfect whole pecan of any size with little effort. He was very
close to his dad and operated construction equipment for him most of his life. Steve was a
longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Ola.

Services by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville, Arkansas : Visitation service at the First
Baptist Church, Ola, Thursday, Jan. 26, from 5-8 PM; Burial service at the gravesite, Sandlin
Cemetery, Ola, Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 PM, Bro. Logan Ferguson of Grace Church, Bellville,
presiding.

Pallbearers: Rusty Welker, Tristan Reynolds, Tanner Reynolds, Taylon Reynolds, Tony
Burfield, Stephen Harris, Jared Billingsley, Trent Baker.
