Terry Wayne Bailey, age 72 of Dardanelle, unexpectedly passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at his home. Terry was born in Austin, Texas, August 20, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents JD Bailey and Ann Woodall Bailey, brother, Joe Douglas Bailey, sister, Sherry Donovan and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Vicki Sargent Bailey; daughter, Brandie Lynn Bailey; Brother-in-law Michael A. Sargent; grandson Nicholaus Quinlin Hight and wife Stephanie; great-grand child Jaxon Reid Hight; Kentucky cousins, Texas cousins, niece and nephews, many other family members, friends, and his special protector fur baby Bella.

In 1972, before deploying to Vietnam with the Army, Terry married his high school sweetheart Vicki Bailey in Austin, Texas. There Terry and Vicki raised a daughter, Brandie. In 1993 Terry and Vicki made their home in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Terry retired as a Lieutenant from the Yell County Sheriff's Department. He was a proud lifetime member of the Dardanelle VFW Post #3141 and a member of the Yell County Wildlife Association.

Terry was a man of many talents and a hard worker. He drove trucks, started his own family run business, as well as worked for the Yell County Sheriff's Department. He loved fishing, keeping a well-stocked pond in his back yard.

However, his favorite pastime was riding his 1995 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. He loved the Lord and always put his family first. He would sit on his back patio praying and watching the birds. Terry had a big heart and never knew a stranger. You would often find him talking about philosophy, or as he liked to put it…philosophizing. A big part of his life for the past 26 years was making special memories with his grandson Nicholaus.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Cornwell Funeral Chaple in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Minister Chris George officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Sargent, Micheal Nuckols, Rich Dyer, Jackie Phillips, Leon Woods and Bobby Childers.
