Obituary

Thomas A. Geeting III affectionately known as "TAG" or "Uncle T" age 29 of Russellville, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 surrounded by his family.  He was born January 20, 1993 at Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas and Theresa Diane Franklin Geeting, Jr.

Thomas was born with a genetic disorder of the bladder and kidneys.  Even as a small child Thomas enjoyed life, always had a smile, was a bit mischievous, and had a zest for life.  He was strong in body and spirit with all the medical procedures he faced.  In 2000 his aunt Denise donated her kidney and without this special gift Thomas would not have survived.  He attended Gateway Christian School in Memphis, Tennessee graduating in 2011.  After receiving his diploma, Thomas enrolled at ITT Tech where he took classes in Computer Programing.

Thomas enjoyed Churches Chicken legs, Louisiana hot sauce, electronics, computers, video games, music, tinting windows, detailing cars, casino games and taking things apart, with usually at least one part leftover.  Most of all he loved animals especially his beloved dog scooby and Mya.  Thomas really enjoyed getting to spend time with his family and the various cars that he owned and putting lights on every inch of the car he could.  He could always be spotted driving down the road by the lights on his car and the thump of his music.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Geeting, Sr., Doris Christine Wolfe, Terrell and Beverly Franklin, and Billy Jean McDowell; one aunt, Robin McCoy; one uncle, Stoney Grubb.

Survivors include his parents, Tom And Theresa Geeting, Jr. of Russellville, Arkansas; one sister, Brandy Dees (Josh) of Millington, Tennessee; three uncles, Eddy Bosley (Tracey) of Houston, Texas, Terry Franklin (Caroleen) of Ft. Hancock, Texas and Michael Franklin of New York, New York; Five Aunts, Marie Thomas of Ashland, Kentucky, Charlotte Herring of Landcaster, Kentucky, Arminda Bishop (Tex) of Ashland, Kentucky, Brenda Allen (Erric) of Houston, Texas and Denise Franklin-Campbell (Bobbie) of Russellville, Arkansas; Four nieces who loved uncle "T", Sophia Evans, Sabrina Dees, Isabella Dees, and Lilly Dees all of Millington, Tennessee and numerous cousins, friends and extended family.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Gateway Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee with Rev. Terry Bumgardner officiating.  A private visitation for the family was held Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and Kindred Hospice for all the love and care they showed Thomas.  Most of all they want to thank his aunt Denise for her gift of life.
