Thomas Charles Gheen age 91 formally of Chickalah  Mountain passed away Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Mitchell's Nursing Home.

He was born September 10, 1926 in Xenia, Ohio to the late Thomas Edward & Hattie Snyder Gheen. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and Army of Occupation of Japan. He retired from National Cash Register (NCR) Corporation. He has always been and farmer. He was a member of the Ohio Appalossa Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Theresa Lee Gheen; sisters, Leona Slauter, Mary K. Edwards and Arlene Lipp Lightner.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Betty Gheen; daughter & son-in-law, Becky & John Shewmake of Danville; son & daughter-in-law, Thomas & Laura Gheen of Bentonville; sister, Helen Semeler of Wilmington, Ohio; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 26, at the funeral home.
