Thomas Charles Wilcox age 89 of Hector, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born June 19, 1936 in Russett, Oklahoma to the late William Charles Wilcox and Merle Webber Wilcox. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he dedicated over 15 years of his life to his country as an aviation boatswain mate, launching and recovery petty officer first class. During his time in the Navy, he earned a good conduct medal, first and second award, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal, reflecting his commitment and discipline and bravery. After completing his military service, he continued his life on an open road as a long-haul truck driver and worked with Landstar Trucking, traveling across country.
He was a devoted grandfather who deeply loved his grandchildren, and he found joy and peace in fishing—one of his favorite pastimes.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings,
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Wilcox; three children, Justin Wilcox, Heather Campbell, Jonathan Wilcox and grandchildren, Garrett, Emily, Will, Chris, Jacob, Danyel (Kaleb), Jeremiah and Marjetta.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00P.M., at North Little Rock National Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to 18 Mewborn Lane, Hector, Arkansas 72843.
