Valerie Mae Rios age 81 of Dardanelle died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Deerview Nursing Center. She was born May 3, 1934 at Casa to the late Owen L. and Mamie C. Rainey Carothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gary Carter.

Survivors include her husband, Manuel Rios of Dardanelle; one son, Phil Carter (Susan) of Blue Springs, MO; one sister, Lola Faye Phinney of Missouri; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Open Friday, February 12, 2016 till noon. Burial will be private in Ringer cemetery.
