Velma Eldridge Velma Lee "Deb" Eldridge age 85 of Ola died Wednesday at Northridge Nursing Home in North Little Rock. She was born February 14, 1926 at Perry County to the late Thomas and Ruby Lee George Via. She was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas J. Eldridge; four brothers, Norbin Via, Bud Via, Bobby Via, Donald Via; four sisters, Theda Via, Ilene Eubanks, Betty Sullivan, Lillie Sue Hance. Survivors include a son, Michael V. Eldridge and wife Mary of Rison; a daughter Tommie Gasper and husband Al of North Little Rock; two sisters, Patsy Vanfleet of Dardanelle, Kathleen Freeman of Ola; seven grandchildren, Greg Ridgway of Morrilton, Monica Ridgway of Ashville, N.C., Miranda Tucker and husband Joseph of Haskell, Matt Eldridge and fiancé Hayden Stuckey, Melissa Tumbleson and husband Mitchell all of England, Brad Young and wife Karla and Sarah Young all of Rison; one great granddaughter, Brenna Leigh Young of Rison. Funeral services will be held 2:00P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. in the chapel. Pallbearers: Ricky Via, Doug Via, Sammy Via, Brent Via, Tommy Via, Ray Jackson, Ronnie Hance.
