Vera Mae Alexander, age 87, of Casa, Arkansas, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Jan 11 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Arkansas. She was born September 30, 1936 in Casa, Arkansas to the late Richman and Mamie Wise. Vera loved the Lord and her family. She delighted in caring for her flowers, her pets and any children that would pass her way. Vera Mae was like a mother to many nieces and nephews throughout the years. She was a quiet and strong woman who has been patiently waiting a long time to be reunited with her children, husband, parents, siblings and countless family and friends that have gone before her. Praise God, she is now celebrating with her husband of 50+ years, Hershel Alexander; daughters – Donna and Debbie Alexander, and son, Larry Alexander.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Amber (Daniel) Speir of Shreveport, LA. Two great-grandchildren – Alexander and Allie of Shreveport, LA. Two brothers – Carmen (Pat) Wise and Marvin Wise, both of Casa. And a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2024 at 1:00, with services at 2:00 at the Chapel at Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle, AR. Burial will be private at Needmore Cemetery.
