Verna Mae Apple age 93 of Russellville died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Brookdale Nursing Center. She was born June 3, 1924 at Sidney, Arkansas to the late Homer and Cora Gray Wilkes. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and First Assembly of God Women's Ministries in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. J.R. Apple and one brother, William O. Wilkes.

Survivors include one nephew, Larry Wilkes of Cave City, Arkansas and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Mike Norberg officiating. Burial will be in Havana Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Ross, Lester Mashburn, Junior Turnbow, Wendell Miller and Kenneth Hickman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 124 East G Street, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
