Verna May Eaton, age 71 of Russellville, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born January 19, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late John Vernon Eaton and Mary Dragoo Eaton. Although she was Lutheran, she attended the Victory Baptist Church in Russellville and she loved sewing, crocheting, painting, beading, dancing, cooking, costume design and ceramics. Verna was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, George Goins; aunt and uncle, Elda and Marion Frock;  and step daughter, Kelly Goins.

Survivors include three children, Heather Otterholt (Michael) of Colorado, Aimee Rhoads (Jeff) of Arizona, Jeffrey Otterholt of Atkins; three stepchildren, Brian Goins (Robin) of Russellville, Holly Phillips (Mark) of Kansas, Jamie Hoyt of Arizona; significant other of three years, Eric Lovely; and grandchildren, Angela, Juliet, Rayanna, Jonah, Kaila, Harley, Annalisa, Kaylee, Jazmin, Nathan; and Presley.
