Verna Mae Thomas age 84 of Paris died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Paris. She was born November 8, 1932 on River Mountain to the late Walter and Florence Woods Wurst. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delaware and she loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Robinson and three brothers, Glendle Sills, Douglas Sills and Donald Ray Wurst.

Survivors include her husband, James Thomas of Paris; ten children, Steve Robinson of Delaware, Ronnie Robinson of Russellville, Charlotte Ballard of Dardanelle, Sharon Moore of Delaware, Pam Warren and husband Ritchie of Dardanelle, Janet Kelley and husband Stephen of Russellville, Karen Tillman and Paul David of Centerville, Sue Lynn Way of Oklahoma, Teresa Terrill of Ozark, James F. Thomas Jr. of Paris; five sisters, Eva Lee Holt of Little Rock, Euella Thomas and husband Eldon of Delaware, Shelby Holt of Little Rock, Shirley Lee of Delaware, Donna Cothren and husband Don of Texas; fourteen grandchildren, Tracy Carter, Blake Latham, Mandy Robinson, Michael Robinson, Sarah Munn, Shelley Willis, Dawn Whorton, Somer Moore, Wesley Warren, Clay Warren, Jessica Haynes, Brook Koheel, Ali Koheel, Nada Hottinger; twenty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Delaware First Baptist Church with Bro. Eldon Thomas and Bro. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Graves Cemetery in Delaware. Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
