Vernice Fleming age 83 of Havana passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at St. Marys Hospital in Russellville.

Vernice was born August 9, 1941 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Abraham & Reba Hurst Higgins. She was a nurse aides at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Fleming, parent,

Brothers, Nathan Higgins and Bobby Higgins, great-grandson, Michael Alexander Wayne Adams.

Survivors include her son, Wendal & Patricia Cox; daughter, LaSonya & Mike Adams; siblings, Doyle Higgins, Johnny & Barbara Higgins, James P. & Derenda Higgins, Genice & Jack Sullivan and Lavern & Richard Coppock; 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 pm Friday, May 16 ,2025 at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. There will be no graveside service….

Burial will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery.
