Virginia Lee Balloun age 88 of Dardanelle died Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was born March 7, 1931 at Batesville, Arkansas to the late Bob June and Rhoda Ellen Lile Gilbert. She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church and she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Boyd Balloun; siblings, Mary Stanley, Bob Gilbert, Cliff Gilbert; son-in-law, Rex Rambo and her grandson, Rex Clay Rambo.

Survivors include her children, Dan Balloun (Lynn) of Dardanelle, Beverly Rambo of Harvey, Louisiana; one brother, Ray Gilbert of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Dan Balloun II (Olga) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Justin and Alisa Rambo of Michael, Panama; step granddaughter, JoAnna and Jesse Noblett of Dardanelle; six great grandchildren, Renae Rambo, Ryan Lee Rambo, Rhett Clay Rambo, Alex Balloun, Korbin Fink and Aubrey Noblett.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Dardanelle First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Mark Gilbert, David Gilbert, Richard Gilbert, Gunner Gilbert, Ray Roland and Jesse Noblett.
