Virginia Alice Crain, age 94, of Dardanelle, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Born on November 26, 1931, in Leach, Oklahoma, to the late Hershel Bata and Leah Dempsey Bata, Virginia was a devoted member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dardanelle. For 25 years, she found strength, peace, and purpose in her relationship with God, living her faith daily through kindness, patience, forgiveness, and love for others. Her prayers, guidance, and gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Virginia loved doing yard work and spent countless hours caring for her flowers. She worked for 10 years at Russellville nursing and rehab, caring for others, and was an avid Razorback fan, with her love for the Razorbacks being legendary. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved each and every one of them with her whole heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Crain; one son, Gordon Henderson Crain; son-in-law, Wiley Snider; and three brothers, Donald Bata, Conal Bata, and John H. Bata. She is survived by two children, Tim Crain (Denise) and Brenda Crain Snider; one brother, Clifton Bata (Judy); one sister, Carol Underwood; her beloved fur baby, Scooter; seven grandchildren, Amber Williams (John), Tish Snider, Dennis Snider (Holly), Matthew Crain, Kelsey Robertson (Andrew), Amber Henderson (Trent), and Kristen Crites (Josh); nine great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Aubrie, Dawson, Drew, Payton, Parker, Tristen, Ethan, Evan, Joshlyn, Jaycie, Hadley, Ridge, Blake, Hayes, Cole; and three great-great-grandchildren, Carden, Delyla, Keaton, and baby Barrett on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Josh Crites officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will follow in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Pallbearers will be Ryan Williams, Drew Snider, Tristen Crites, Ethan Crites, Evan Crites, Payton Ramsey, Parker Ramsey, and Dawson Snider. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Christy and Matt Brock.
