Wendell Waymon Sides, 94, of Danville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Joan Winchell Sides; daughters, Patricia Sides (Dennis Davis) and Carol Sides (Glenn Prentice); and many caring nieces and nephews.

Waymon was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Sides, his parents, Linnie Belle (Hall) Sides and John Lovic Sides, and by his sister, Verna Etoile (Sides) Serrell.

Born on July 5, 1929, on Dutch Creek Road near Danville, Arkansas.
A Southern Baptist and member and Deacon of the Danville First Baptist Church, Waymon joined the Army Air Corps in 1947 and retired as Master Sergeant in the Arkansas National Guard in 1984.

Waymon and Joan also owned Sides Insurance Agency for many years.

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Danville. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Burial will take place at Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville shortly after the services.
