Whick Stapleton age 82 of Havana passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville.

He was born September 18, 1937 in Senath, MO. to the late Charles & Edith Gayden Stapleton. Whick attended Wilson Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent. He loved the "kids" of WYC and was so proud of all of them. He loved his family. Most importantly he loved the Lord and led a blessed life. He was a security officer for Chambers Bank.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Frances Stapleton.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Corine Davis Stapleton; daughter, Vickey & Bobby Chambers of Havana; brother, Earl "Runt" Stapleton; brother-in-law, Vernon Davis of Hot Springs; sisters-in-law, Maxine Shott of Danville and Margaret Davis of Havana; grandson, Quincy & Stephanie Greenfield of Havana; great-grandchildren, Hunter Greenfield, Ashton Greenfield; step-grandchildren, Camrie Spinks, Cade Spinks, Haley & T.C. Bauer, Nathan & Janessa Chambers, step-great-grandchildren, Emma, Blake, and Camryn Bauer, Spencer and Reed Chambers; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Danville First Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Humphreys, Bro. Mark King and Bro. Greg Bland officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service at the church. Private burial will be at Havana Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Tommy Greenfield, Quincy Greenfield, Hunter Greenfield, Ashton Greenfield, Doug Davis, Frank Stapleton, Mike Donnell, Jim Holbrook, and Stephen Wagner.

Honorary pallbearers include Butch Bird, Don Burrows, Gene Lee, Rick Millsap, Dale Knight, L.W. Bell, Eston Yandell and Bob Ross.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Whick Stapleton's Scholarship Fund c/o Chambers Bank.
