February 1, 1931 – October 18, 2020
Wilbur Clemmons age 89 of Dardanelle passed away, Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born February 1, 1931 in Lebanon, Missouri to the late Lavern Clemmons and Zona Piles Clemmons. In high school, he was a standout athlete in track and baseball. He loved playing horseshoes, bowling, golf and listening to gospel music. The Arkansas Truckers Association presented an award annually named The Wilburn Clemmons Courtesy Award to the safest and most cautious truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorris Potter Clemmons; one daughter, Jeaneeta Love Sardis; one infant daughter, Susan Elizabeth Clemmons; one granddaughter, Mary Graves and one sister, Jean Mayfield.
Survivors include four sons, Stephen Clemmons (Kathy), Stanley Clemmons, Joseph Michael Graves, Jerry Lawrence Andrews (Anna); three daughters, Linda Oppel (Robert), Sharon Kay Ball (Frank), Karen Fay; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
