Willard "Dub" Charles Smith, age 87, of Russellville passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Brookridge Cove in Morrilton. He was born October 25, 1932 at Flat Rock, Arkansas to the late Charles Eugene Smith and Via Arlena Poynter Smith. He was a member of the East Point Baptist Church and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was the golf course superintendent at the Russellville Country Club for 22 years. He also worked at the Galla Creek Golf Course in Pottsville and the Lion's Den Golf Course in Dardanelle until he officially retired. He loved his family, his church, and his dog, Allie Lynn.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Terrye Sutterfield, and brothers and sister-in-law, Billie (Ruth) Smith and Tommy Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Shirley Smith of Russellville; children, Ricky (Lisa) Smith of Burke, Virginia, Randy Sutterfield of Clinton, Arkansas, Jeffery (Rhonda) Smith of London, Arkansas. Grandchildren, who referred to him as Papa,  Leslie (Josh) Higgins, Jeffery Jr. (Amber) Smith, Ryan Smith, Ashley Saxon,  Kristen Sutterfield, Christopher (Katie Jo) Smith, Justin (Melissa) Morris, Derek Morris; great grandchildren,  Logan Saxon, Brynnan and Hudson Smith, Adalynn and Liam Higgins,  Maeleigh and Haddie Kate Morris, and sister-in-law, Karen Smith of Baltimore, Maryland.

The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the staff of Brookridge Cove Rehabilitation and Care Center in Morrilton.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at East Point Cemetery.
