Bill Orsburn

William Watson Orsburn, age 66, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 23, 2026, at MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was born June 11, 1960, in Russellville, Arkansas, to H. M. and Mary June Jewell Orsburn, Jr. 

He met the love of his life of 42 years ironically at a car dealership while selling cars. They would go on to have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren, 6 of which were boys. He loved dogs including the many Shih Tzu and strays who joined the Orsburn family along the way. Bill was a lifelong businessman and spent 25 years as co owner of Dalton King Packaging. Outside of work, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years playing alongside his "Sunday Golf Group." He also enjoyed dressing sharp, shopping, sports, and cars. His hard work paid off and he was able to own his dream car of a Nissan GTR. He enjoyed slipping away to the local airport strip to see just how fast the car could go. Bill was known to always crack jokes and could make just about anyone laugh. Everyone liked Bill. Bill will be remembered for the friendships he built throughout his life, both through business and the activities he loved. He will be remembered for his giving heart and selfless acts. It didn’t matter if you were his lifelong friend or day one employee, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He will be remembered for how much he adored Rhonda, his girls and all his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Bob DeClerk; and his son-in-law, Nick McClain.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his daughters, Emily Grifford (Nathan), and Ashley McClain (Sam Howard); his siblings, Cindy DeClerk, Dinah Cox (Tommy), Mary Scudder (Steve), and Howard Orsburn (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Owen, Ella, Finn, Fletcher Grifford, Hunter McClain, Evans and Harrison Howard.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2026 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle with his brother Howard Orsburn officiating. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the Celebration of Life.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Grifford, Owen Grifford, Sam Howard, Hunter McClain, Dr. Kevin Beavers, and Terry Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers will include Pete Apple, Bill’s Sunday golf group of 30 years; Danny Walker, George Woerner, Teddy Puckett and all former employees of Dalton King Packaging. 

Bill’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his many years in business, and the friendships he formed along the way. His love of golf, sports, and cars brought him great enjoyment, but his family and the people who shared his life will remain the greatest part of his legacy.
