William "Bill" Joel Bly age 68 of Belleville went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on August 28, 2016.
He was born January 5, 1948 in Newport, Vermont to the late Edward & Thelma Brainard Bly. He was a Navy Veteran. He loved outdoor activities such as, snow skiing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. He was an excellent gardener and also loved keeping bees. He was an avid runner with many marathons completed including the Boston Marathon at age 60. But his favorite activities were spending time with his family and watching the New England Patriots. Bill never met a stranger and was loved by all those he met. He was always positive and most caring and generous. He was a faithful man of God with a servant's heart. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Myra J Bly; children, Scott & Dawn Bly of Seattle, WA.; Kristy Bly & Seth Carbonari of Columbia Falls, MT; Rae-Anne & Keith LaCroix of Moretown, VT; Shauna Kitchens of Bellville; Chelsea & Kasey Baker of Heavener, OK.; Siblings Valerie & Ernie Spring of Boston, MA.; Beverly & Verne Devereux of Barton, VT.; Sherry & John Clarke of Hartland, VT.; grandchildren, Nathaniel Bly, Luke and Lydia LaCroix and Lillian Baker, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arkansas memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 2nd at New Life Outreach in Danville, AR.
Vermont service will be at 1pm on Saturday, September 10th at Hillside Cemetery, Church Hill Road East Charleston VT.
