William Lynn Ellis, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his home. William was born December 2, 1941 in Exeter, California to Duard and Sarah Ellis. He retired from Entergy after 27 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 31 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing and trapping throughout his life. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle, serving in any area that had need, from church repairs and maintenance to volunteering with the children. He was preceded in death by his first wife Francis; his brother Leroy and his son Jeffrey Lee.

He is survived by his loving wife Joann; his children William Steven "Steve" Ellis (Tonia), David Leighton Ellis (Stefanie), Jeff's widow (Tracy), Joanna Fitzjurls (Paul). He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle on May 31, 2022 at 11:00A.M., with a Celebration of Life to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Backpack Program, 118 South 2 ^nd Street, Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834. This program provides weekend meals for children in need.
