William Glen Holmes age 90 of Pottsville, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at Stella manor Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born November 29, 1934 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Ora Holmes and Cora Bates Holmes. William was a Master Sergeant in the Unites Army and he loved to travel. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jesse Holmes, Bernard Holmes, MaryLou Phillips, Fred Holmes, Robert Holmes, Iva Mae Sikes, Ida Jane Breitenstein, Charles Holmes and Rose Lea Beck.

Survivors include his wife, Eleonore Griehl Holmes; his son, Robert Glen Holmes (Louvenia Jane); three grandchildren, Jonathan Dean Holmes (Tara), Robert John Holmes, William Isaac Holmes and one great grandchild, Chase Lemar Holmes.
