William Daniel Norris age 85 of Dardanelle died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born April 12, 1930 in Plainview to the late William Levi Norris and Ora Flo Crites Norris. He was a lumber grader for Thomas V. Jones Lumber Company for many years and later retired from Dow Chemical in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Ann Adkison Norris; a brother, Maxie Norris; a sister, Johnnie McElroy; a grandson, Rodney Byrum and a great grandson, Faytaun Wells. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Byrum and James of Russellville, Linda Young and Doyle of Dardanelle; six grandchildren, Jeffery Byrum, Dustin Byrum and Shonda Noblett of Dover, Rhonda Gaspard of Dardanelle, Crystal Wilson of Lamar, Chanda Wells of Russellville; fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Claude, Charles and Johnny Norris all of Dardanelle, James Norris of Hot Springs; a sister, Louise Rich of Hector and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved extended family at the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and a kind and generous friend to all who knew him. He will greatly missed. Burial will be private.
