William Aaron "Opie" Smith age 46 of Havana passed away Tuesday, August 1. 2023 at Chambers Hospital.

Opie was born February 6, 1977 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to William Preston & Pamela Joyce Beaver Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Almon & Mildred Beaver and Eskel & Velma Smith; great-grandmother, Ruby Heflin.

Survivors include his parents, Pam & Ronnie West of Havana; Bill & Jodie Smith of Booneville; brother, Joel & Carolyn Smith of Havana; step-sisters, Christen & Gene Buquet of Houma, LA.; Veronica & Nate Saul of London; Jennie & Robert Myers of Pottsville; fiancée, Amanda Batchelor, and her children, Hunter Harris, Alyssa Batchelor, Jacob and Jared Keeling, and grandson, Noah Keeling; 8 nieces and 1 nephew; and his fur baby Cocoa.

Memorial service will 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Ranger Freewill Baptist Church with Br. Joel Smith officiating.
