William "Billy" Paul Johnson age 81 of Dover passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at his home. He was born December 17, 1939 in Pope County, Arkansas to the late Granvil Tate Johnson and Lola Mae Brigham Johnson. Paul was a United States Army Veteran. He worked with his brother Jerry in the Timber Industry for many years before retiring from the Pope County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Norma Tate Jones and her husband, Hiriam Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane Austin Johnson; one daughter, Anita Beth Johnson Dennis; one brother, Jerry Johnson (Anna); one sister, Sandra Drittler (Leroy); one nephew, Hiriam Jones Jr. (Bobbie); two nieces, Cathy Jones, Amy Drittler and one great niece, Harper Claire Presnell of Tennessee and four great nephews, Juan Jones, Daniel Jones, Russell Jones (Macy), and Kevin Jones (Rachel).

Private graveside services will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at Rushing Cemetery with Russell Jones officiating. Visitation will be open Thursday, noon to 3:00P.M. Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.

The family would like to thank the special Nurses and Staff from Arkansas Hospice for their wonderful care.
