William Earl Smith age 67 of Ola passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Russellville.

William was born October 30, 1958 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Earl Gene & Ann Keener Smith. He was a member of the Ola Freewill Baptist Church. He was a poultry farmer and was the retired owner of Piggy’s Bar B. Que.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carolyn Lynette Smith, grandparents, brother Tony Smith, son, Jeremy Smith and daughter, Lesa Ruiz.

Survivors include his daughter, Lela Rogers, sister, Jeannie & Billy Haralson, grandchildren, Max Smith, Miley, Damion, Alea, Chiara and Carlie, great-grandchildren, Paris, Bethany, Colt, Alexander and Ronan.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday September 30, 2026 at the Ola Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, at Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Billy Haralson, Jordan Case, Kendal Phipps, Jason Robison, Matt Robison and Bo Robison.
