William Cleo "W.C." Starr age 99 of Havana passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville.

He was born September 14, 1917 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to the late William David & Pherbia Victoria Coppeak Starr. He was an WWII Army Veteran, an carpenter, an Master Mason life member Blocker Lodge 247 in Boonville, life member VFW and life member of Carpenters Local 1836.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 76, Velma Gray Starr; grandson, James David Starr Jr; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Price Starr.

Survivors include his son James Starr & Brenda Gray of Dover; daughter & son-in-law, Syble & Frank Spillman of Fayette, MS; granddaughters, Deborah Starr; Pherbia Mynatt; Alicia Strittman; thirteen great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one nephew and one niece.

Funeral service will be 2:30 pm Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Moore's Chapel Community Church with Owen Yandel officiating. Burial will be at Moore's Chapel Church. Visitation will be 2:00 to 2:30 before service Tuesday at the church.
