William "Bill" Tapp passed from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, 3/2/2025.
He was born on 8/11/1926 to Millard F. and Mollie Davis Tapp. He married Oda (Lowery) Tapp on 9/13/1947.
Bill was a Purple Heart Veteran, serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict and a retired mail carrier. His favorite careers were peace time Army and carrying the mail.
Bill was proceeded in death by his parents and wife, as well as daughters: Gloria Lee Tapp, Peggy Clemons, sisters: Mildred Karnes, Joyce Adair, brothers: James Tapp, C. Gene Tapp, Loyce Tapp, and M. F. "Pete" Tapp.
He is survived by his sister: Patricia Feeney (Martin), daughter: Betty Nance, (Renne), son, William Tapp, Jr. (Vickie), son-in-law: Larry Clemons (Aleta), four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Moores Chapel Church. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am before service at the church. Burial will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to Moore's Chapel Cemetery are appreciated.
