Wynona Lea George, age 74 of Ola, Passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born January 8, 1949 in the Kingston, Arkansas Community to the late Glen Hunnicutt and Johnnie Green Hunnicutt. She was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Ola, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was an avid reader with weekly trips to the Yell County Library. Wynona was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene Hunnicutt, J.A. Hunnicutt and her great grandson, Kingston Mantooth.

Survivors include her husband, Sammy George; three children, Michele Shoptaw (Kevin), Matt George (Robin), Nathan George (Tracey); three brothers, Cliff Hunnicutt (Susan), Eddie Hunnicutt, Steve Hunnicutt (Chiquita); one sister, Naomi Noblett; grandchildren, Colby (Brianna), Tanner (Olivia), Shelby (Dylan), Luke, Caleb, Eli, Josie, Jonathan, Austin, Joseph and great grandchildren, Maddox, Gabe, Cambre and soon to arrive, Oliver.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, December 9, 2023 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Ola.
